Damascus Steel Axes

Axes and hatchets with Damascus heads. Folding pattern steel into an axe is harder than folding it into a knife, because the head has to survive impact rather than slicing, so the billet is built with a high carbon core and the pattern carried through the cheeks.

The result is an axe that is genuinely one of one. No two etched heads come out the same, and the grain moves every time you turn it in the light. Hung on hickory or ash, with a leather bit cover.
