Are these really hand forged?
Yes. Each blade is heated and hammered to shape, not stamped or laser-cut from sheet. Walk through the process on How We Forge.
Do the knives come sharp?
Razor sharp, ready to work. Handle the first unboxing carefully.
Which steel should I pick?
Depends what you're cutting. Short version: 440C for low maintenance, D2 for edge retention, 1095 for field sharpening, Damascus for looks. Full breakdown in the Steel Guide.
Will carbon steel rust?
If you neglect it, yes. Wipe it dry, keep a little oil on it, and let a patina form. See Knife Care.
Why doesn't my knife look exactly like the photo?
Because it's hand made. Hammer marks, grind lines, wood grain, and Damascus patterns vary between pieces. That variation is the product, not a flaw.
Is the tang full?
On every fixed blade we make, yes.
Can I get my name on it?
Yes — see Engraving & Personalization. Note that engraved knives aren't returnable.
How long does a custom build take?
Usually 3–6 weeks. Damascus and sets take longer. Details on Custom Orders.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, but knife import rules vary by country and duties are the buyer's responsibility. See Shipping.
