Seax Knives

The seax is the knife the vikings and the Anglo Saxons actually carried, and it is still one of the best belt knives ever designed. A single edged blade with a broken back or a straight spine, worn horizontally on the belt, big enough for camp work and plain enough to use every day.

We forge them from high carbon and Damascus steel, with the angled clip and the long tang the originals used, then fit handles in horn, antler, bone and hardwood and wrap them in leather sheaths cut for horizontal carry.

These sell to reenactors, to collectors and to people who simply want a knife with a thousand years behind the shape. See also viking axes and historical blades.
