Katana and Japanese Swords

Curved single edged blades in the Japanese tradition, forged and heat treated by hand. Katana, wakizashi and tanto lengths, with the curve put into the blade by the quench rather than ground into a flat bar.

Construction is what separates a sword you can use from one that hangs on a wall. Ours are full tang through the grip, differentially treated where the pattern calls for it, and fitted with tsuba, wrap and saya as ordered. High carbon steel and Damascus, no stainless castings.
